Barbara Dalicandro was appointed as the Executive Director of Deer Valley Charter Schools Inc. by their Board of Directors on July 11, 2005. She brings over forty years of experience and excellence in education to the position. Prior to coming to Deer Valley Academy, Ms. Dalicandro worked for the Deer Valley Unified School District at the high school and district level. She has been the Deer Valley High School Principal and Assistant Principal, V-Tech Center Principal, District Director of Educational Technology and Workforce Development, Director of Community Relations and Community Education, the Assistant Principal at Anthem Elementary School, and an English/Reading teacher.
Ms. Dalicandro holds a Master’s Degree in Education in Reading and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Administration and Supervision from National-Louis University, Evanston, Illinois. She now directs Deer Valley Academy which offers a year-round high school afternoon/evening program on the Deer Valley High School campus at 51st Avenue and Union Hills Drive. The school provides students with a real-world education for today's technologically advanced global community
