Indianola Community Youth Foundation

Major League Baseball player and Indianola natives Casey Blake and his wife Abbie initiated the Indianola Community Youth Foundation to fund efforts that will
benefit Indianola kids. The foundation was created as a way for the Blakes to giveback to their community and to build on Indianolas reputation as a community committed to its youth.

ICYFs vision for the future is to continue with our established programs plus add a new focus on helping kids obtain the items necessary for their success in school and in extracurricular activities. We will work through the schools to identify particular needs of students (who will remain anonymous) and provide what is necessary so they can participate like all other students.

We created a nutrition program to help families in the Indianola community make informed decisions about their meals and snacks. We are currently providing snacks for the varsity teams when they travel to a conference or district game (at the coachs discretion). We are always working with the school district to determine when open gym times can be scheduled throughout the year and providing supervision for those open gym times.
