Welcome!

Fubuki Daiko will perform at Wallace High School Commons at 2:00 pm on Sunday September 25, 2022. Admission is $10.00 for adults; students are our guests (free); young children should be accompanied by an adult. Note that this is not a membership concert.

The Muller-Webb Duo will perform at 2:00 pm on Sunday October 23, 2022 at St Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. This is the concert once scheduled as part of our 2019-20 season and so there will be no admission charge; no need to bring your membership card; everyone is invited as our guests.

The Shoshone County Concert Association (SCCA) has produced and presented musical events in the communities of Kellogg and Wallace since 1942. In 2020 it was necessary to postpone events for more than two years. However, we remain dedicated to bringing quality music and “family-appropriate” concerts to north Idaho’s Silver Valley. Previously concerts have typically been held during late-September to mid-November and late-February to late-April, usually beginning at 2:00 pm on Sunday afternoons. We try to avoid other scheduled Silver Valley entertainment. Our venues are local school gyms/multi-purpose rooms and local churches. This pattern is likely to continue.”

“In 2010 we began to offer “outreach-concerts” to local schools at no charge to the schools. These educational concerts are designed to fit within a typical school period. We expect to resume these school outreaches as we resume our public concerts.”

“We are managed entirely by volunteers. Artist selections are made by the Concert Association’s Board of Directors from rosters from the Northwest Performing Arts Council, artists’ agencies, regional ensembles and soloists, recommendations by individuals, and those musicians applying to SCCA. From these we select ensembles that are within our budget, available on suitable dates, and whose acts can be accommodated within our venues. We strive to present a varied and balanced program each season and from year to year, ranging from classical and country to popular, jazz and beyond, as instrumental, vocal, and dance.”

These two concerts will be funded by admission fees and our reserves made possible by past membership fees, individual donations, and generous support from several foundations. We are a 501(c)3 organization.
