Opera Southwest is pleased to offer $5 tickets to audience members who are currently receiving SNAP or WIC with New Mexico Electronic Benefits Transfer Card (EBT) Cards.

Advance tickets can be purchased through the National Hispanic Cultural Center Box Office two weeks prior to each performance. Give us a call at 505-724-4771. Tickets purchased over the phone will be available for pick up at Will Call with a valid ID and New Mexico Electronic Benefits Transfer Card (EBT) Card.

Q. Who can buy $5 Tickets?

A. Anyone who gets food stamps through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or WIC and has a New Mexico Electronic Benefits Transfer Card (EBT) Card.

Q. How many tickets can I buy for $5 each?

A. Two per EBT Card. Please note that the benefits card itself cannot be used to pay for the tickets.

Q. Where and when do I get $5 tickets?

A. Opera for All tickets become available for a production 2 weeks prior to opening night. Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone. Tickets purchased by phone must be picked up at will call and the patron must show their benefit card in order to receive the tickets.

Q. How do I buy the tickets?

A. You must show your NM EBT Card at the time of purchase or pick up and pay with cash or credit card. SNAP credit on the EBT cannot be used to buy tickets.

Q. Which events have $5 tickets?

A. All of our operas have $5 tickets. There is a limited number available, but were constantly working to increase the number available.

Q. I dont have an EBT card. Are there other discounts available?

A. We also offer $15 tickets for students and under-30 audience members. Subscribers enjoy a 15% discount when they purchase the entire season, and our base ticket prices start at just $19.
