The radiology department at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital offers a variety of diagnostic radiological services. Being a small rural hospital allows us to provide our patients with individualized treatment and exceptional care.
Our radiology department offers various procedures that are performed in the shortest possible time using the least amount of radiation necessary.
We offer:
• Diagnostic radiology (tests)
• Trauma and routine adult and pediatric radiographic exams
• Nuclear medicine
• Intravenous pyelograms (IVP)
• Ultrasound
• Digital mammography
• CT scans
• Bone densitometry testing
• MRI
• Assisting during surgery with the aid of a C-arm
• Echocardiagrams
Ed Fraser Memorial now accepts self-referred screening mammograms for patients with and without an established primary care physician.
To be eligible for self-referral, patients must be:
• Women aged 40 years or older,
• And have not received a screening Mammogram at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital or any other institution in the last 12 months.
A physician order is not required for a screening mammogram. And with our state-of-art digital mammography, there’s no reason to travel out of town and endure the frustration of traffic and long lines.
