Need help with your utility bills? The Community Action Agency of Butte County may be able to assist! If you qualify, we can help cover costs for electricity, gas, propane, heating oil, or even wood and pellets. If you’ve received a shut-off notice, we offer emergency services—just reach out before applying. We can also connect you with PG&E’s CARE program, which could save you up to 20% on your monthly bill. Keep in mind, we don’t control disconnections, so always contact your utility provider first. Funding is limited and based on need, so not everyone will qualify. Applications can take up to 8 weeks to process. To get started, watch our how-to video and print the application below.
