Thermoplastic Polyolefin is actually in a broad family of rubber roofing materials.
TPO is a blend of polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber. Most of these types of roofs usually consist of a hard metal deck combined with a thick insulated foam layer and tied into the deck with anchors. The final surface applied is the rubber-based TPO coating which is heat-sealed and secured.
