Memory Care

We are dedicated to serving the unique medical needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory-related conditions. From our building design here at The Dalles Veterans’ Home to our carefully selected staff and specialized programming and care management. We focus on the individual needs of each respected resident and family we serve. The philosophy of care at The Dalles Home addresses both individual residents and the memory care community. The primary goal is the achievement of the highest possible quality of life for our honored guests.

Care in this unit is a partnership between staff and residents and their families. Beginning with the resident’s life story and continuing with involvement in care planning, our staff welcomes the involvement of residents and their families in all aspects of life in this department. Many elements are used to contribute to the daily living and compassionate care of residents.
