Introducing Grand Johanna, a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery storage facility located in Irvine, California. With a formidable capacity of 2 megawatts (MW) and an impressive 8 megawatt-hours (MWh), Grand Johanna has been operational since January 2017. As a 100% esVolta-owned asset, it plays a pivotal role in serving the energy needs of Southern California Edison. Notably, Grand Johanna was developed and constructed in an astonishingly swift six-month timeframe, a testament to esVolta's agility and responsiveness, particularly in response to the Aliso Canyon gas storage crisis.
